Hey, all! It's Sketchy Share Monday #5, and this week, I am featuring Allison Cope, who has her own sketch blog, So Sketchy, and also does sketches (and is the blog editor) at Scrapbook And Cards Today! Here are three of her sketches that I just adore! And, just wait, till you see what Allison has in store for you all...but you have to read allllll the way down to the end!
I adore this card, it can be used for so much more then just Easter!
I love me a good double page sketch, and this one is amazing!
And we all know just how much I adore paper layering!! Like this sketch, below!
And here is what Allison had to say to us!
1.How do you come up with your sketches?
Generally I sit down at my computer and just fire them onto the screen right from my brain...LOL! That sounds funny! Sometimes when my family and I travel long distances I take my ringed notebook and sketch in the car. Most of the time they are just images that I come with out of my head.
2.how do you feel when you see others using your sketches?
I enjoy seeing others get inspired by my sketches! I love to see different people take my sketches and build them up to make their own individual interpretations. I love seeing multiple people's impressions from one to the next. You never know how someone will create using them!
3.Do you use your own sketches?
I do use my own sketches but also enjoy using other designer's sketches, too! I, too, sometimes get into a creative fog now and then and need a boost of creativity from some other source to get my mojo going!
4.What is your most favorite sketch that you have ever made? Can you share it with us?
That's a good one! I actually created a more organic feeling sketch for the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog last month that I absolutely love! I love the softer lines and the movement within the sketch.
5.If you have made layouts with your sketches, can you show some of your favorite layouts with those sketches?
Since I shared the sketch for the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog, I'd love to share the resulting page I created for it with you, too! It's one of my all time favorite layouts of my son.
Here's another sketch that I created for an online crop over at weScrap awhile back.
And here's the whimiscal and clean lined page I created using the sketch:
*now for the big news!*
Here's something for you, a sketch designed for you, the readers! For anyone that creates a layout using the sketch below, your name will be entered into a draw by Allison (and, also, remember, everytime you use ANY of the sketches provided here, you are still entered into my RAK of the month!!!, so you could win twice!!!)!!! Please link your page creations to the post below and Allison will randomly draw one person to receive the prize package from her!!! You have until the end of April, for this drawing!!! Good luck!
{seriously, it's like that sketch was made for me...it fits me like a glove! ;) :D}
AND, last but not least...I have some photos to show off of the kiddos! I took them to the beach for Easter, and let them frolic in the water with their Easter garb on. I mean, how many other times can they do this, right???? And that is what washing machines are made for!
So, that's it for today, everyone! I do hope that you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter. :)
Till next time!
Aloha,
~M
